We went to look at a boat last night, then went for sushi afterwards. Another reminder to me that I wouldn't have this type of lifestyle if I had kids. It just doesn't work, and for now, I really enjoy this lifestyle.
Anyway, we had a very nice time, but there was something that bothered me. Our waitress at the restaurant somehow worked it into the conversation that she didn't drink. TW asked her if she was Mormon, and she answered no, but seemed surprised, possibly offended at the suggestion, then he asked her if she was Baptist, and she said she was not only Baptist, but she was hoping to be a missionary. She told us the reason she didn't drink was because she felt that drinking would cause her to "lose herwitness". I find this idea kind of offensive and judgemental. I don't have any issue with those who choose not to drink of course, but the people who are very wrapped up in a church who believes that alcohol should be forbidden can be a bit over the top. Basically she is saying that if I chose to have a conversation with someone about God, but I was drinking a glass of wine during the conversation, then my credibility is compromised. That is ridiculous.
